Bread pie with dried fruits from Gimonde
- 5 loaves of bread (from the previous day)
- 500 mL of milk
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoonful of cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- Walnuts, raisins, peanuts as needed
- Sugar and cinnamon as needed
- Honey as needed
Switch on the oven at 160ºC.
Grease a baking tin with margarine.
Line the bottom with baking paper and grease again with margarine, sprinkling the bottom with sugar and cinnamon.
Cut the bread into thin slices and line the bottom of the baking tin and make layers so as never to exceed the height of the baking tin.
In the blender add:
The milk, the eggs, the teaspoon of cinnamon and the corn starch.
After blending well place the mixture over the bread and let it soak for 5 minutes and press the bread with a fork so that it is well covered.
Put the dried fruits on top of it and press it again with the fork and place in the oven until it is baked.
When it comes out of the oven, drizzle with honey and let it cool.
